Cute comfy and clean by Jodi 07/14/2019
This house is close to Blanding and close to all the sites we wanted to visit. It sits close to the road but with all the trees and shrubs surrounding the house it seems secluded.
We loved this place! by Gaynor 07/14/2019
We loved this place! Unfortunately our stay was very short but we made the most of the time we had. Our favorite thing to do was to sit by the fire pit listening to the night sounds, toasty warm by the fire. We visited Monument Valley and The Valley of the Gods before travelling to our next stop. The house was very comfortable, very well stocked, peaceful, quiet, roomy and perfect for our needs. We would love to return for a longer stay some day.
Love it here, highly recommend by Andrea 07/14/2019
You can expect a clean and peaceful place to stay. The travel suggestion binder was absolutely fantastic for us to plan a day trip activities. Helped weed through all the various options. Highly recommend.
Clean and enjoyed our stay! by Valerie 06/12/2019
This property worked well as a home base for several days of photography in the surrounding areas (Canyon of the ancients, canyonlands, natural bridges, Hovenweep, etc). The cabin was centrally located yet far enough from Blanding to provide excellent views of the night sky and a quiet environment to relax at the end if the day. We found the cabin to be clean and well equipped with everything we might need. In all we had an enjoyable experience and would definitely return on future get aways.
Very pleased with everything by Mark 06/12/2019

House met all our needs!` by Brian 06/12/2019
House met all our needs as we day hiked in Bears National Monument. Quiet and natural setting.
Really enjoyed our stay! by Nicholas 05/20/2019
We initially did not know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised! The house was in immaculate condition and really cosy. Its a great place to use it as a gateway to Canyonlands/Arches/Mesa Verde. Really enjoyed our stay.
This is the place you want to stay! by Kandyce 05/20/2019
If you want a quiet place after a long day of sightseeing in beautiful Southern/Eastern Utah, then this is the place you want to stay. Make sure you spend at least a couple of days there so you can take advantage of Jerry's great "Things To Do" binder for everything to see & do close by. It was an extremely comfortable place to sleep and relax in the evening upstairs in the family room. We loved it and wished we had stayed longer.
Perfect location by Robin 05/20/2019
Perfect location for exploring Bears Ears and other wonderful areas in SE Utah.

Beautiful, simply beautiful by Martin and Ruth 04/14/2019
The house is well equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. It sits on a large piece of land and it’s quiet and private. My wife and I took an evening walk from the house to nearby lakes and biked from the house to see Five Kiva Pueblo in a canyon south of Blanding. I’m sure we’ll be coming back to explore more of this amazing part of Utah. Martin & Ruth Montrose/Colorado
Loved our spring break stay here. by Jennifer 04/14/2019
The Cedars Cottage was just so nice for us. We explored most of the time down Hwy 95 seeing the Anasazi ruins. Took a quick trip to Mesa Verde to see Pueblo ruins. It was so nice to come back in the evening to relax and enjoy family time. There is so much to see and we will definitely come back. Great place to spend part of our Spring break.
Great place to stay. Close to amazing destinations! by Jamie 04/14/2019
Great place to stay. Close to amazing destinations!
Location is excellent! by Julia 04/14/2019
This house is hopefully a sign of what is to come in the Bears Ears area. The location is excellent for accessing hikes/ruins within the new national monument. We found the hiking tips extremely helpful in the binder prepared by the owner. Our kids enjoyed the ability to access entertainment at night. The beds were extremely comfortable!”
Very comfortable! by Cynthia 04/14/2019
This home was very comfortable - well-stocked kitchen supplies, heated tile floors in the master, and a comfy bed. The maps and pamphlets on the area were super helpful in planning our next day!”
House was GREAT! by Ron 03/29/2019
Very clean, spacious house with comfortable beds and quiet location. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good value in a place to stay in this area.
Sehr nett! by Steffen 03/29/2019
komplett ausgetattet, ruhige Lage, sehr sauber die ideale Basis für Ausflüge völlig problemlose Abwicklung der Buchung und Anreise netter Kontakt
Extremely comfortable! by Mark 03/29/2019
This was an extremely comfortable house that is stocked with everything you need to make it a great base for visiting that part of the Four Corners area. It was perfectly clean and well-equipped, and also very quiet and peaceful. Blanding is a good locus for exploring Bears' Ears and Natural Bridges, the Needles district of Canyonland, Hovenweep and Monument Valley. If you're coming from the north, it might be best to stock up on groceries in Moab, because the store in Blanding, though adequate, is much less stocked. My family really appreciated our weeklong stay at this house, and would highly recommend it to others.
Gorgeous place! by Ellen 03/22/2019
Gorgeous place with sweeping views and cozy interior. We came after a snowstorm and it was beautiful. Easy access from the road. Room for yoga upstairs or down or on the front porch in warm weather.
Excellent location! by Scott 12/14/2018
We have stayed here multiple times while visiting the area. The house is always very clean and very comfortable for 3-4 adults. We will definitely stay here again when we come.
Clean and comfortable by Peter 12/14/2018
Clean and comfortable house with a pretty well-stocked kitchen. Three comfortable bedrooms make this a perfect spot for six people who like to eat, hike and see Utah's rugged beauty. Two sofas in the living room mean it can accommodate up to eight if it has to, though the living room is open to the downstairs, meaning sofa sleepers will want to go to bed later than everyone else. Blanding is a good jumping off spot to get to Bears Ears and Natural Bridges, among other places to hike and see in that part of Utah, and the owners provide a pretty useful guidebook to the area. Just don't rely too much on the distances, which were approximate, and expect to lose your cell service while there.”
Very nice! by Wilford 12/14/2018
Very nice. We will stay again if in the area, a huge improvement over the local hotel we stayed in previously. It was also nice too be able to make our own meals and that was a huge improvement over the local restaurants.
Exactly what was advertised by Ronan 12/14/2018
Beautiful and exactly what was advertised. Prefect for our little family getaway. We were so happy with our stay. I have not been able to stop talking about our vacation.
Highly recommend by Ken 12/14/2018
Very nice, comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.
Perfect getaway by Jason 10/29/2018
The house was clean and well maintained. Firepit for an evening fire. General household items available for use and a binder with local sights along with directions and descriptions. Since I had not made many plans during our stay, the binder was extremely helpful. We will be back in the future.
Very nice by John 10/29/2018
Very nice. We really enjoyed it
Very comfortable and conveniently located by Michael 10/29/2018
The house was very comfortable for 4 people and conveniently located. We enjoyed breakfast with a view on the patio. Would choose it again if we return to Moab.
We had a great stay at the Country Cottage by Tracey 09/25/2018
The place is in a nice little secluded patch of Cedar and makes you feel like you are camping, especially with the excellent fire pit! It is really well stocked with all kinds of nice touches like extra chairs, blankets and coolers for outings. Very creative use of recycled materials all through the cabin. The beds were very comfortable and they had nice linens as well. The folder with ideas for hikes that are accessible from there was excellent too. We had a lovely time visiting Natural Bridges and Bears Ears. Amazing country. Go to the Dinosaur and Edge of The Cedars Museums. This is a great place for kids.
Had a great time here. by Enrico 08/30/2018
We (family of five) had a great and comfortable time in this cottage. perfect location to explore the nature and the culture of the area. i wish we could stay longer
We loved it! by Mallory 08/30/2018
We had a great time at this cabin located in the heart of Blanding Utah! My family came down to get away from the city lights to enjoy the Perseid meteor shower. Wow! What a beautiful show! The cabin had everything my family needed and was a cozy spot to stay. I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Beautiful place by Josh 08/30/2018
Great and beautiful place. Wish we could have spent more time there.
Comfortable house, loved it! by Stenni 08/30/2018
This house was very nice. It is two stories with the downstairs containing the kitchen, eating area, and large master bedroom with a bathroom connected. The upstairs has two bedrooms with a double bed in each and a large sitting area. The house is well maintained and clean. The only real challenge we had was with the swamp cooler (type of air conditioning). Being from Michigan, I had never even heard of such a thing. It did keep things cool, but we struggled with trying to cool the upstairs without freezing out the downstairs. We probably just needed more practice. They also had a notebook full of things to do in the area. We actually changed our plans for one of the days we were there because of something we found in the notebook. I would definitely reserve this house again.
Very comfortable by Jaime 08/30/2018
Wonderful, peaceful cottage. Very comfortable beds and great amenities
Peaceful location to do nothing! by Benni 08/30/2018
We stayed here as a planned break from our 6 and a half week roadtrip. Three peaceful nights in southern Utah. House is great and very well equipped throughout. I'm sure having a fire would have been cool but fires were prohibited the same as much of the USA this summer. One thing to note is that if you wish to consume any alcohol with your meals or around the fire, you best buy before arriving in Blanding as the town is truly 'dry'. Plan ahead.

We loved our stay in this cabin! by Caroline 07/10/2018
We loved our stay in this cabin! The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, the place was sparking clean, and it had all of the amenities we could have dreamed of! We only wish we could've stayed longer.
Great base for our explorations of SE Utah. by New Guest 05/10/2018
Wonderful, secluded, great base for our explorations of SE Utah.

Very nice location, had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for anyone exploring Bears Ears and Natural Bridges NAt’l monument.

Had a fantastic stay here! by Keri 05/10/2018
Our family of 6 adults with a 1yr old and 3yr had a fantastic stay! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a little secluded get a way. The views are amazing, the cabin was clean and had all amenities we needed for home cooked meals
Best place to stay EVER! by Lynd M 05/07/2018
During our month-long road trip to hike canyons in the Southwest, The Cedars was the most quiet and comfortable lodging we stayed in. Its rooms are spacious, the decor pleasant (western theme, of course), and the location is ideal for exploring the many, many highlights of the Cedar Mesa area (don't miss the Edge of the Cedars Museum--small but world-class).
The king bed was unusually comfortable, the floor in the master bathroom was heated, and the big and beautifully-tiled shower easily accommodated two. We've stayed in dozens of VRBO and AirBnB locations in the last 10 years and The Cedars' kitchen has set a new bar for "best supplied." The convenient laundry room was also well-supplied and the machines handled big loads. We did not use the 2 bedrooms on the upper floor, but they looked comfortable and cozy and would make this house a great choice for a family. After long days of hiking, we especially enjoyed the loft living room with its big screen TV, many DVDs, and comfortable sofas. The house is surrounded by desert trees (juniper?) mostly limiting the view to the vast desert sky...but from the large kitchen-dining area that fills most of the first floor there are stunning views of the Abajo Mountains nearby.
The house was quite clean and tidy, communications with the management company and owners effortless, and our stay at The Cedars memorably pleasant--we'd come back again in a heartbeat. What higher recommendation can anyone give? Thanks for making this home available for others to enjoy.
We loved our stay here! by Debra 04/20/2018
We loved staying at this lovely house on our road trip! It was clean, up to date, and easy to find. The fireplace out front was a great addition! The hosts were also great with giving recommendations of what to do in the area. We loved our stay here!
Fantastic place! by New Guest 04/09/2018
My husband and I stayed here for a short spring break touring southeastern Utah with our four kids and a set of grandparents. The cabin was roomy, giving us space to spread out. We sat around the fire pit roasting marshmallows two of the three nights we were there - the stars were beautiful! Even though this place is conveniently located right outside of Blanding, it was easily accessible yet it felt secluded as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to prepare the food we brought. We loved the cottage and exploring the area. We were able to see Monument Valley, Four Corners, Hovenweep, Valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway, Muley Point, Monarch Cave, as well as several other hikes in the area. Thanks for opening your home to us!
This is an excellent value by Szara 04/03/2018
This is an excellent value if you are traveling with your family. Lots of space, nice area for dining, TV room, wireless internet service, and very well equipped kitchen. The place is easy to find and in a quiet residential neighborhood. They do use scented cleaning products and the mattresses have plastic covers.
Truly unique accommodation by Janith 03/12/2018
A truly unique accommodation---most enjoyable!”

this place was perfect by Terri Jackson 01/26/2018
This place was perfect for the 6 of us!! Very clean and cozy! The upstairs family room was a perfect place to visit and watch tv after a full day of balloons and hiking!! Thanks for offering such a wonderful getaway!!
very quietly situated by Maria 01/03/2018
This place is very quietly situated over a hill from the small town of Blanding.
It's perfectly situated to enjoy all the Canyonlands parks within an hour's drive. The beds were comfortable and it was easy to get to after a day of exploring.
Wonderful vacation retreat. by Chris Romney 12/06/2017
We used this house for 4 days of exploring Bears Ears, Grand Gulch, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley. The drives are long but scenic. The cedars house was perfect for our group of 8. The kitchen is well appointed and we had a full Thanksgiving feast. There are comfortable beds, wifi, hi-def TV's, and a fire pit with benches, wood, roasting sticks and priceless dark sky views. It is situated on a hill outside of town with expansive vistas including nearby Abajo and distant Sleeping Ute mountains. Morning jogs to the reservoir were quiet and peaceful.
Nice place to have base camp by DMVinSD 11/17/2017
Nice little 3 bedroom Cedars cottage. Although one of the rooms has a childs bunk bed in there, it still was sufficient. Kitchen has everything you need and the location is nicely situated for easy access to CanyonLands, Natural Bridges and Bears Ears. I'm sure there are more sights to see around there but we only had so much time. The only negative is that after anyone took a shower the leach field/septic tank area outside stank to high heaven. It went away but boy that was not pleasant for a bit while sitting outside by the fire. It just might need to be emptied. Other than the brief odor bomb, the cabin is a great base camp at a modest price.

Response: We have had two comments about the septic odor and have had the County health inspector certify that the system is in order.
He made one suggestion in hopes of alleviating this recent problem which we will act on immediately. Thank you for your stay!
木屋很有特色,喜欢.房东设施齐全,方便了旅途,特此推荐.但房子外面比较荒凉 by Sha Li 10/17/2017
highly recommend staying here by MarJoe 10/11/2017
Cedars Cabin in Blanding was very nice for our 5 night archeology tour of SE Utah with friends. Having a master suite on ground floor and 2 bdrms and bath upstairs was great for privacy and 4 adults. The cabin had EVERTHING you would need. Took my own laundry detergent and dish soap but didn't need it. They had well stocked kitchen including plastic containers and ziploc bags in 3 sizes. We liked sitting out by the fire 2 nights - it was full moon - so didn't need the big light on the porch that never goes off. Reasons for 4 star: Found a breaker to shut off after calling owner. The nights were cool and we were blasted by cold air coming thru the swamp cooler. Had to tape over the vents with trash bags and put a blanket on it to stop. The drain in the master suite is very slow and you end up standing in your shower water 3 inches deep. Not sure we liked L/R being upstairs, hard for some. Would still highly recommend staying here and would come again.

Response: We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay overall and hope to see you again soon! We've made note of your comments and will take measures to ensure a better stay for future guests.
We'll be back! by Brent Carter 10/02/2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at the Cedars 3BR Country Cottage this past weekend. We loved how secluded it was, except for the constant visits from deer, wild turkeys, cottontails, and of course Nala. We also saw a black and white cat that came to check on us one evening. It was a delight. The property is clean, eco-friendly, and well furnished. We spent most of our time around the kitchen table each evening, reviewing our adventures of that day and planning the next. We really appreciated the little extras found around the cabin, like hand lotion, soaps, etc. This is our second property we have rented from Canyonlands, and they are always clean and well taken care of. We appreciate the details on how things work, what is expected at check-out, and a place to leave comments. We'll be back! Thanks for maintaining such a wonderful cabin, and thanks to the Lyman's. Amazingly Cozy Cabin by Diane Thuss 09/23/2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cedars, Amazingly Cozy Cabin. We were greeted by our Host and his son. The cabin was immaculate, it exceeded all of our expectations, we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay with Canyonlands Lodging again.
Great house for visiting Needles and Monument Valley by Robert Shapiro 08/20/2017
Great house for visiting Needles and Monument Valley. Blanding has needed services. House has many great touches. Quiet and offers great star gazing. Only gripe was flies.
We loved this cabin by Shannon 08/07/2017
We got the Cedars cabin so that we could use it as a jumping off point to the national parks in the area. We loved this cabin even with a few little quirks (you are in the highland dessert so you need to make adjustments). The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed to feel at home, even washing soap was provided. There is a grocery store about 3.5 miles down the road which was perfect since we cooked the entire time at the cabin. The one thing I would change about the set up would be that the view from upstairs needs to be utilized more. I didn't come to watch tv on my vacation, I came to see the scenery and the scenery at the cabin was spectacular. Don't be surprised to see bunnies, turkeys and deer on your visit. Thank you for a great place!
A little treasure far away by Steve 07/27/2017
The place is just as described. We were there very little because we were gone during the days until late. There is a lot of love put into this little place....even a fire pit out back. We did not need it as it was late July.

The night sky from this home is the most amazing that I have ever seen. There is no light pollution to dim the sky and it's simply amazing to view God's handiwork from here.

There is a whole house fan and something that we had never heard of called a swamp cooler so we couldn't get the house as cool as we usually have our home for sleeping. Other than that's a jewel.
Great place to stay in Blanding! by Brian 07/21/2017
Great place to stay in Blanding!
Spacious, Affordable, Nice Location by Kevin Roush 06/22/2017
As a family of four, we had lots of room to spread out in the Cedars Country Cottage. Kids loved it too. It was centrally located for what we wanted to do in the area. Owners/management were quick with answers and responses and willing to check on things. Beds were comfortable and shower was amazing. Our 12 year old was ready to move in permanently.
Perfect for our needs by Ron 04/29/2017
The cedars cottage was great! Very quiet, secluded, comfortable, nice views etc.. We used it as our home base to explore Cedar Mesa. We loved Cedar Mesa and will be back, and would definitely book this cottage again. The owner and renting company were very responsive and communicative. Everything ran very smoothly.
FYI, Blanding is a "DRY" town. So if you like a beer or glass of wine after a day of hiking, bring it along. Also restaurant choices are very limited. We always pack and cook our own food so this was not an issue for us.
Thank you so much for this amazing cabin. by Ochoa Family 04/14/2017
It was very cozy and I wished we could have rented it for longer. We will plan next time for longer so spend more time to enjoy our family and this secluded place. God Bless You!
Beautiful cabin in a gorgeous place! by Pletcher Family 04/12/2017
The quiet and privacy was so appreciated after long days exploring the area. Thanks again for sharing.
Clean and Private by Michelle 04/12/2017
Thank you so much! The cabin was very clean and so cozy and private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! We have left early this morning on our way to the Grand Canyon! I posted a picture this morning and will provide a review on VRBO. Only one thing you might want to check at the cabin, the Pur filter on the faucet runs slow, I suppose that might be the way it's supposed to work but just in case.
Thank you again!
Owners Note:
Yes the Pur filter runs a little slow but everything else was great!

We saw the rabbits, beautiful. We wish we could stay another day just to enjoy the scenery.

Right in the middle of so many wonderful parts of Utah. The home is comfortable and has everything one might need. The beds were fantastic - everyone slept SO well. We will be recommending your home to family and friends and would love to come back again sometime.

This place was great! by J Poulsen 08/09/2016
Cedar View Family Cottage - This place was great! I wish we could have stayed longer! The location was close to town but totally private. There were some nice outdoor benches where we could sit and enjoy the evening sky. Thanks for everything!
