Property Details

The Moab/LaSal Mountain Lodge is located South of Moab on the southeastern slope of The La Sal Mountains (just 30 minutes southeast of Moab). A hidden alpine wonder, providing breathtaking scenery, spectacular views, and affordable lodging for couples, reunions, groups, or retreats.
A Most Fascinating and Beautiful Place

Venture out from Moab around to the Colorado side of the La Sal Mountains, 14 miles from Utah Highway 191 on Utah Route 46, to discover the untrammeled side of the La Sal Mountains and a lodging company and animal sanctuary engulfed in abundant peace and quiet that defies definition.

It is, all at once, a lodge, rental cabins, a massage therapy center, and an animal sanctuary. A most fascinating and beautiful place indeed.
The Animal Sanctuary and Healing center is a comprehensive center that includes healing for people, animals, and the land. The Animal Sanctuary component is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping injured, special needs, abandoned and unwanted animals. We provide love, shelter, and care for 'all animals under the sun'.

The animals that find their way to this Animal Sanctuary are nurtured, brought back to health and in turn put up for adoption if and when possible. The others that are too handicapped or sick to be let out, remain at the sanctuary under close loving care.

Tours and Volunteering: We offer tours and volunteer opportunities to work with the animals at the center. For further information please connect with us before your arrival or speak with us when you are here. You will love this place!

Guest Reviews

I'd highly recommend this spot by Heather Blaine Wiegand 12/06/2017
The La Sal Mountain Lodge was the absolute perfect place for our family Thanksgiving gathering. The kitchen and dining areas were a dream, and well stocked with almost everything we needed to cook and serve a Thanksgiving feast. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable and the home has plenty of bathrooms. The kids LOVED all the outdoor space to run around and play and some of us took advantage of the opportunity to visit with the animals and help out with their care at the Sanctuary. Angela welcomed us warmly and gave us a quick tour and orientation of the lodge, very helpful. Chris and Teague are wonderful hosts! I'd highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet getaway (You can take a digital break as well, there is no cell coverage here and wifi is spotty. Take a technology vacation!)
The cabins and lodge were perfect for our group of 50. Loved the family memories we made here by Amber 07/10/2017
Bedrooms and bathrooms and privacy for everyone to get ready and babies to nap, while the lodge was a great gathering place for the whole group. Loved the laundry facilities, kitchens and vanities in the cabins, which were very nice and clean and so darn cute! The owners and staff gave us plenty of space to enjoy ourselves, but were attentive when needed. The deer we watched outside our cabin window were a magical bonus. Our family reunion here will be difficult to top!
We stayed at the Mt Peale cabins over Christmas and it was, by far, the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER for our family! by Jackie 12/29/2014
We stayed at the Mt Peale cabins over Christmas and it was, by far, the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER for our family! Cabin is awesome and perfect if you want to "get away!" Very "quaint" and you felt like you were up in the mountains all by yourself! Great views! Would stay there in a heartbeat and highly recommend! Only complaint--the gas fireplace was not working.
